DALE EARNHARDT
REPLICA #3 TO BE DISPLAYED SATURDAY
This Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway, the NASCAR Featherlite
Modified Series rolls into town for the Riverhead 200, the 11th stop
on the 2002 tour schedule. Also on the card is a 30 lap double-point
Blunderbusts race, as well as Chargers.
An added attraction for the fans at Riverhead Raceway, will be a
replica of Dale Earnhardt's famous #3 NASCAR Winston Cup car. The #3
will be on display behind the bleachers near turn three. The car is
owned by Michael Barnes, has all the class of the real car that Dale
Earnhardt drove himself.
From the original GM Goodwrench decals, to the black and silver
paint job, to the #3 itself, all of which is meticulously replicated
on the Chevrolet Monte Carlo and is used under permission and
authorization from DEI and Richard Childress. It will be very
obvious to anyone who comes to see this great looking replica of
Dale Earnhardt's #3 NASCAR Winston Cup Car, that it was definitely
well worth the time and effort that Barnes put into getting the #3
together. Barnes' main reason for putting this car together was for
everyone, not just himself, to remember one of the biggest name's
and families, in NASCAR Racing history.
Love him or hate him, Dale Earnhardt was the real deal, No Bull.
He did what most people only dream about, he lived his dream and
died for the love of the sport. That makes him a Real American Icon
in many people's eyes. Michael Barnes also drives this car almost
daily, weather permitting. Michael Barnes himself will be on hand at
the car, to answer any and all questions you may have about the car
what it took to put it all together.
Special thanks go out to Bob of Marrzmotorsports for putting this
together for the fans at Riverhead Raceway, as well as J.A. Ackley
of LongIslandJam.com and Riverhead Raceway promoters Barbara And Jim
Cromarty.
