NEETS
GEARING UP FOR NEW YEAR
It is 2003 and here at the North East Enduro
Tour Series we are moving right along with signing up new
tracks for the schedule, talking to and securing sponsors for
the individual races, and taking applications from new
members.
Billy Bartley, tour series Promoter/Director
says, "The outlook is very positive as more and more
tracks are contacting us and wanting us at their facility in
the coming season". Speedways such as Tioga Motorsports
Park, Mahoning Valley Speedway, and Orange County Fairgrounds
Speedway have contacted us and are deciding on dates to run
our program. The NEETS schedule should be finalized sometime
in January 2003.
The 2003 NEETS roster is starting to look
like the "who's who" of Enduro racing. Many of the
members are Enduro champions and top runners at their
individual home tracks, which will prove most interesting when
it comes race time and they will have to compete with each
other. Enduro racing is always exciting, coupled with the fact
that we are putting on a touring show with drivers of this
caliber will be a show that should not be missed.
Mountain speedway, 1/3 mile asphalt track in
St. John's Pa. will be the home based track for the series and
will host 3 sanctioned races, a 150 lap season opener on May
18th, a mid-season 150 lap double points championship on
August 3rd and the year end 250 lap double points Championship
on October 10th. All races at Mountain speedway will feature
computerized AMB NASCAR type transponder scoring which will
give an accurate count of all laps and no need for human
scorers.
A season end banquet will top the season off
in November where the 2003 North East Enduro Tour Series
champion will be crowned and all points fund money will be
distributed to the top 10 in points plus many other awards.
A special pre-season (enduro car only)
practice day is scheduled at Mountain speedway on Saturday,
April 5th. There will be NEETS officials on hand to
pre-inspect your cars for safety and tour legality. You will
be able to test and tune your car throughout the day with many
hours of "on-track time". There will be a NEETS
meeting at the break in the middle of the day and tour
licenses will be available.
Fans all love enduro racing and the North
East Enduro Tour is about to take it to the next level. We
hope you will attend a show at a track near you when we are in
your town.
