PLANS SET FOR LONG ISLAND
TALLADEGA 500 PARTY SUNDAY APRIL 6TH
After a
successful Daytona 500 party which saw the race shortened by rain
Riverhead Raceway announcer Bob Finan has announced plans for a
Talladega 500 party at Grizzly's Sports Den in Bay Shore Sunday
April 6th at 1:00 pm.
"The
Daytona 500 was shaping up to be another exciting NASCAR event"
Finan commented, "however rain put a huge damper on the race
and I think we were in store for a great finish". With that in
mind plans have been made to have a Talladega 500 party at Grizzly's
Sports Den to make-up for the shortened Daytona 500.
"I'm
aware the first outdoor race of 2003 is at Thompson Speedway with
the annual Icebreaker" Finan added, "however if you're not
heading north then please come out and join us for the Talladega
500". Grizzly's offers 15 TV monitors throughout its spacious
facility and a big screen projection TV as well. During the race $1
pints of Budweiser, Bud Light and Coors Light will be available,
along with great food and fun. Spicing up the affair will be
Talladega 500 pools at $5 per position, with the winner of each pool
pocketing $215.
Grizzly's
Sports Den is located at 888 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore on the
south service road just east of Manor Lane. Finan also disclosed
he'll have NASCAR License applications with him for Riverhead
Raceway teams to take home and fill out for the first practice
session six days later on April 12th.
