MILLER
LITE AND RIVERHEAD RACEWAY MARKETING PARTNERS AGAIN IN 2003
Riverhead
Raceway officials announced today that Miller Lite will once
again play a prominent role as a marketing partner for the
2003 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series. It's the 19th
consecutive season of the Miller Lite involvement at the
quarter mile facility.
Al Frazer, a high-ranking executive
with Boening Brothers Distributors of Lindenhurst, distributor
of Miller Lite again looks forward to working with Barbara and
Jim Cromarty and their staff. "Our marketing effort
through Riverhead Raceway is not only a long standing one, but
also one of our largest and more successful ventures on Long
Island" Frazer boasted. "As much as we look forward
to 2003, we are really excited about the 2004 season when we
mark our 20th anniversary"
The Miller Lite marketing program in
2003 will mirror their 2002 sponsorship, with seasonal
sponsorship for the NASCAR Modified and Figure Eight
divisions. Two Miller Lite nights are scheduled to unfold,
first of which will be on Saturday August 16th for the wildly
popular Full Size School Bus Demolition Derby. The second
Miller Lite night will take place on Saturday evening
September 20th for the annual National Demolition Derby
championship.
The staple of the Miller Lite package
over the years has been their sponsorship of the first NASCAR
Featherlite Modified Series race of the season and 2003 will
be no exception with the Miller Lite 200 set for Saturday June
7th. The 2002 edition was an exciting race that had the fans
standing for the final 50 laps as Rick Fuller and J.R.
Bertuccio fought tooth and nail for the win. The duo got
together while lapping a slower car allowing Ted Christopher
to race from third to victory lane, despite a bent front
suspension from earlier contact.
Aside from Miller Lite, Riverhead
Raceway will again be proud to serve Miller Genuine Draft at
their beer stands in 2003.
The 2003 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing
Series kicks-off Saturday evening April 26th with a six for
one program featuring the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models,
Figure Eights, Chargers, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks.
Qualifying will commence at 4:30 pm, with feature event racing
going green at 6:30 pm.
