VICTORY FLEET
MAINTENANCE SHIFTS TO RIVERHEAD BLUNDERBUSTS
In
an announcement made today by Riverhead Raceway officials it
was disclosed that Victory Fleet Maintenance will be a
seasonal sponsor for the Blunderbust class for the 2003 NASCAR
Dodge Weekly Racing Series. The division will welcome their
new seasonal sponsor to the fold in a big way on opening night
April 26th with a 30 lap, double point feature event.
Carl
Rackoff, owner of Victory Fleet Maintenance made the move to
the Blunderbusts for 2003 in an effort to fill the void left
by Golden Auto Body with the tragic passing of Larry
"King" Costa last September. The move was also
important to Rackoff because he sponsors the #34 Blunderbust
of Bryan Sescila who wound up among the top ten in points
during the 2002 campaign.
Victory
Fleet Maintenance will add purse money into each Blunderbust
feature event of 2003 and host their night at the races on
Saturday June 24th. On that night Carl Rackoff and his lovely
wife Betsi, both former NASCAR Officials at the Route 58 oval,
will present the top three across the line with handsome
trophies.
Victory
Fleet Maintenance is like having our own mechanic on sight 7
days a week, 24 hours a day and their motto is "we'll
service everything from Pintos to Peterbilts". To reach
Victory Fleet Maintenance dial (631) 588-3414.
Eugene
Malverty the 2002 Blunderbust champion has indicated he'll run
a limited slate in 2003 leaving the door open for drivers like
Bobby Gardner, Anthony Aiello, Chris Chirico, Sean Byrne,
Kevin Clark, Tommy Walkowiak and Bryan Sescila among
candidates to capture the 2003 title.
Joining
the Blunderbusts on Opening Night 2003 April 26th are the
NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers and
Super Pro Trucks. Qualifying will start at 4:30 pm and feature
racing begins at 6:30 pm.
