AUTO TECH REMAINS WITH RIVERHEAD SUPER PRO TRUCK CLASS IN '03

    Charlie Rizzo of Auto Tech Diagnostic in College Point, N.Y. disclosed today he'd be returning as a seasonal sponsor for the Riverhead Raceway Super Pro Truck class in 2003. The Super Pro Trucks will be one of six division in competition when Barbara and Jim Cromarty raise the curtain on the 2003 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Riverhead Raceway Saturday April 26th.
    Dubbed the "tailgate brigade" a couple of years back the Super Pro Trucks are looking forward to the 2003 season, which finds Danny Grennan of Glen Cove the defending champion. Among those drivers eyeing that title in 2003 will be Lou Maestri of Deer Park, Dave Koenig of Oceanside, Mike Albasini of Bayside, Brian Schwarz of Riverhead, John Denniston of Westbury and Hank Hallock of Riverhead.
    One driver who will certainly bear watching in 2003 will be young talent Lenny Costa of College Point. 2003 will find the second-generation driver racing under his father Larry's #46 and carrying Auto Tech Diagnostic sponsorship on his entry. Lenny wants to make a run for the 2003 SPT title in honor of his late father Larry "King" Costa who lost his life at the track last year.  The first race or two will be very emotional for Lenny, but once he settles in he'll chase the goal he has set.
    Charlie Rizzo is dedicating the 2003 SPT seasonal sponsorship in the name of his long time friend and business associate, Larry Costa. Rizzo has been aiding the Costa family with their Golden Auto Body firm. Auto Tech is located at 121-08 18th Avenue in College Point, Queens and is a full service diagnostic auto repair facility.
    Joining the Super Pro Trucks on Saturday April 26th will be the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers and Blunderbusts. Heat races will start at 4:30 pm with feature racing going green at 6:30 pm. After the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series opener on Saturday evening the following day will be the lid-lifter for the Enduro race series at 12:30 pm Sunday April 27th.
