CRAFTSMAN TOOL NIGHT COMING TO RIVERHEAD RACEWAY JUNE 21

    Riverhead Raceway is proud to announce that Saturday night June 21st has been designated Craftsman Tool Night for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series competitors Barbara and Jim Cromarty disclosed recently. Joining the five divisions of NASCAR stock cars will be a 4/6 Cylinder Truck Enduro and an exhibition by the Eastern Kart Racing Association go-karts.
    Craftsman, the signature tool brand of Sears will recognize the feature event winners in the five NASCAR Dodge Series divisions with Sears associates to conduct the victory lane presentations. Craftsman has also signed on to sponsor the new Craftsman Mechanic of the Year program and will crown a national mechanic of the year at the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series banquet on November 1st in Nashville, Tennessee.  Riverhead Raceway crew chiefs have already won the award. The late David Oliver was the first and followed by Ray Bouchard and Bob Demling.
    June 21st will also serve as Eagle Chevrolet night.  The Riverhead based auto dealership will sponsor the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models and Chargers on a seasonal basis. The NASCAR Modifieds will run a 35 lap main event for the Trailer Transport trophy from their seasonal sponsorship.
    Rounding off the NASCAR portion of the program will be the Late Models, Figure Eights, a 30-lap, double point Charger feature and the Blunderbusts.
    The 4/6 Cylinder Truck Enduro, a staple on the Sunday Enduro series, will race under the lights after the Figure Eight feature. The stars of tomorrow from the Eastern Kart Racing Association will present an exhibition during the card as well.
   The Saturday June 21st show kicks off a double header weekend at Riverhead Raceway as on Sunday June 22nd the Super Pro Trucks will join the Enduro cars and stars in an afternoon show. One-One One Spectator Drags and a Car Rollover Contest will join that card which will begin at 12:30 pm.
