NORTH-SOUTH
SHOOTOUT EARNS A BLUE RIBBON WITH SIGNING OF NEW SPONSORS
Lexington, NC: It was announced late
Halloween night that C&C Racing Promotions, promoter of
the inaugural North-South Shootout, has secured backing from
two very prominent corporate entities. Pabst Brewing Co.
of San Antonio, TX and Big Show Foods, Inc. of Louisburg, NC
each have committed their support to the most anticipated
short-track race of the 2003 season.
A stellar field of Modified competitors from both north and
south of the Mason-Dixon Line is in place for the historic
two-day Modified event scheduled for November 7&8, 2003 at
Concord Motorsports Park in Concord, NC. The first
Annual North-South Shootout presented by Pabst Blue Ribbon
Beer will be highlighted by the John Boy & Billy Spring
Water 100.
"John Boy and Billy are icons in the south," said
race promoter, Charles Kepley. "They have done a lot for
the sport of auto racing and entertainment in general.
We couldn't be more excited about the affiliation with those
boys, their company, and the long-time sponsors, Pabst Blue
Ribbon."
Pabst Blue Ribbon is the flagship beer of the Pabst Brewing
Co. of San Antonio, TX. "Since 1844, the original
Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer has used the choicest of nature's
products to provide its prized flavor." Today it is
known as a great beer at a great value.
Much like what C&C has in for store for racers and fans,
great racing at a great value. Affordable collectible
tickets for the inaugural North-South Shootout presented by
Pabst Blue Ribbon are now available. Tickets for
reserved top-row seats with spacious stadium seating can be
purchased for only $50. Reserved or general grandstand
admission seating is only $35 with general admission for
children priced at $25. All tickets are good for both
days.
Big Show Foods, Inc., through their new product, John Boy
& Bill Spring Water, will present 100-laps of green flag
racing as the bad boys of the north take on the good ol' boys
of the South to determine who is the best in Modified racing.
The event, a throwback of sorts, is guaranteed to provide the
very best that Modified racing has to offer. Newly
crowned Featherlite Modified Series champion Todd Szegedy,
John Blewett III, Eddie Flemke, Jr., and Ted Christopher will
be joined by the best of the best in Northern Modified racing.
The southern contingent will include the likes of 2003
S.M.A.R.T. Champion L.W. Miller, Jay Hedgecock, Junior Miller,
Earl Baker, Bobby Hutchens, and many more. For a
complete roster visit www.northsouthshootout.com.
Joining the Tour-type Modifieds will be three
ultra-competitive support divisions featuring Flat Head
Modifieds, Four-Cylinders and Pro Trucks plus the
always-entertaining Vintage Modifieds.
