NEETS
"BEATERS WITH HEATERS" - JAN. 3
NEETS is at it again... Billy
B., the promoter of the North East Enduro Tour Series (NEETS)
is holding an event to cure some of the "mid
winter cabin fever blues" that develops in most drivers
and fans during the long break between racing seasons.
Bartley's promoting a "stock" enduro day at Mountain
Speedway on January 3rd 2004. It is named "BEATERS WITH
HEATERS" and will consist of a 150 lap big car race and a
100 lap 4-cylinder race. The day will have a holiday theme and
is intended to be fun for the fans and drivers alike. Besides
a great purse, there will be many awards given out for example
"Rough Ride of the Day", "Wackiest car"
and "Best holiday theme car"....so you will see some
odd looking race cars.
"It started
out as just a day to have fun and get together over the winter
for anybody that wanted to put a junk car together, but it has
blossomed into an "all out major event", says Billy.
"I have not even advertised it yet and I am getting
inundated with phone calls and e-mails from all over the North
east". " I even received a phone call from Eric
Drews of Drews Enterprises NJ which sponsors a Wall Modified
and he thought this was a great idea and is sponsoring our
event in part."
Mostly all NEETS members are
participating as well as regular Mountain Speedway and other
racetrack drivers and crew. Jason Arthofer from "Speedboys",
a local speedshop supplier and race car builder, is putting
together 10+ cars for his workers and associates. "We're all
coming up to have some fun and break up the winter off
season" says Jason.
This
race sounds like it will be a great success and will turn
into an annual event scheduled by NEETS. The race will have no
"reschedule date" because the event will take place
no matter what the weather. "We have plows" says
Billy B.
So if you
are looking for something to do on a winter day, and in need
of a "Racing Fix", there will be plenty of racing
action for drivers and plenty hot chocolate, hot dogs and
chili for the fans. Come on out and have some fun. All
information about this event can be found on the NEETS website
www.neetstour.net or
you can e-mail the NEETS tour promoter at billyb@neetstour.net
