EAGLE
CHEVROLET SCORES RIVERHEAD RACEWAY TRIPLE PLAY
For
the second consecutive season Eagle Chevrolet will serve as a
seasonal sponsor for three of the six divisions that make up
the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Riverhead Raceway. The
curtain will come up on the new campaign at Barbara and Jim
Cromarty's speed plant on Saturday April 24th with all six
classes in action.
Eagle Chevrolet, located just minutes
east of the track at 98 Main Road in Riverhead, will again
back the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models and Chargers in 2004
and will host three separate "night at the races"
during the course of the summer. The three dates for those
nights will be Saturday June 19th for the Late Models,
Saturday July 17th for the Chargers, while the NASCAR
Modifieds will have their Eagle Chevrolet night on Saturday
September 4th.
Eagle Chevrolet is part of the Eagle
Auto Mall Group and first got involved at Riverhead Raceway by
sponsoring a Late Model feature event in 2002. After that
successful introduction into stock car racing, Eagle stepped
up their marketing effort for 2003 by sponsoring the three
divisions.
The 2004 racing season will kick off
with Opening Weekend 2004, with the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series
to get things underway on Saturday evening April 24th. On that
card will be the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights,
Chargers, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks.
The very next afternoon, April 25th,
the Enduro series will take their first official green flag
with a program of Grand Enduro action, which will be joined by
8 Cylinder, 4 Cylinder and 4/6 Cylinder Truck Enduros, along
with Train Race and Car Rollover Contest.
Action Saturday will start with
qualifying at 4:30 pm with feature event racing at 6:30 pm and
for Sunday racing will start at 12:30 pm.
