RIVERHEAD MARKETING WORKING FOR MORTGAGE ONE

In a joint announcement made Friday morning officials of both Riverhead Raceway and MortgageOne revealed that the latter would return as a seasonal Charger sponsor for the 2004 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Barbara and Jim Cromarty will raise the curtain on a new race season Saturday April 24th with six divisions in action for the lid lifter.
"It's the best advertising we've done" Tim Halpin explained while making the announcement concerning the return as a Charger seasonal sponsor for 2004. When quizzed further why he thought marketing through Riverhead Raceway worked so well Tim explained, "NASCAR fans are without a doubt the most sponsor loyal fans in any sport or entertainment venue". Since being involved at first as a car sponsor and later through the Riverhead marketing program we've definitely seen a return on our investment. For the money it's a win-win for any business or corporation".
MortgageOne first got involved three years ago as a sponsor of Scott Lehmann's Charger effort and in 2003 increased their marketing through the seasonal Charger package. To date the 2004 marketing package for MortgageOne will also include sponsoring defending NASCAR Modified champion John Fortin of Holtsville.
MortgageOne is licensed not only in New York, but also New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Florida.  It also boasts three Long Island offices in Riverhead, Holtsville and Westbury.
"Dynamite" Dan Turbush of Hampton Bays will defend his 2003 Charger championship starting with the April 24th opener. Among those seeking to dethrone the time tested veteran will be Jack Orlando, brother Rusty Turbush, Chris Beutler, Rob Tribuzio, Eric Lutz, Brad Van Houten, Chris McGuire, Steve Ratti and Mike Bologna. Add to the contender list Robin Vollmoeller who is coming out of retirement along with second year drivers Chris Turbush and Eric Goodale.
Joining the Chargers on the April 24th opening night will be the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks. Qualifying will start at 4:30 pm with feature event racing at 6:30 pm.
