Brode, the Riverhead veteran, has been racing the Featherlite Modified Series for two consecutive years in 2002 and 2003. Finishing 16^th in the final FMS standings in 2003, Howie and the Petro Motorsports team are looking forward to fighting their way into the top 10 in points this season. Petro Motorsports also captured the Riverhead Raceway 1998 Modified track championship, with many wins attached.

Many changes have taken place over the winter, which will strengthen Howie’s chances of placing his Chevrolet Monte Carlo into the top-ten in FMS points this season. They have just finished putting together the car for the new season; the Beautiful Blue and Yellow Troyer Modified, and a NEW Billy the Kid Race Engine under the hood of the #96. Marty Condit will be back as the head crew chief for the season, with a totally new and revamped crew. Howie would like to thank all the people who helped out in 2003, and would like to thank the sponsors for making this all possible for 2004.
