MILLER LITE NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS RIVERHEAD OPENING WEEKEND

    A long winter's wait comes to a happy end the weekend of April 24th and 25th at Riverhead Raceway, as Barbara and Jim Cromarty will present Opening Day Weekend 2004! Saturday night will feature Miller Lite night for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series stock cars, while Sunday afternoon it will be the stars and cars of the track's Enduro series in action.
    The 2004 season marks the 20th consecutive for Miller Lite and Riverhead Raceway as marketing partners and executives from Miller Brewing Distributor Boening Brothers will be on hand for the festivities. All six-feature event winners will go home with a handsome Miller Lite trophy as well as actual product to help enjoy their opening night victories.
    Six great divisions of NASCAR stock cars make-up the opening night roster with the headline NASCAR Modifieds going 35 laps in feature event action. The Late Model troops will race 25-laps, while the Figure Eights, Chargers, Super Pro Trucks will all race in 20-lap main events. The Blunderbust class will get right to work with a 30-lap feature event with double points on the line.
    The very next afternoon it will be time for the Enduro competitors to shine with a Grand Enduro set to spotlight the afternoon. Among the early entries for that race include John Always, Pete Cherouvis, Eric Holmberg, Mike Panico, Matt Senatore, Greg Zaleski, Rich Johnson, Michael Sorrantino, Peter Rabaglia and Billy Weigelt.
    Joining the elite Grand Enduro on Sunday will be a Train Race, 8 Cylinder Enduro, 6 Cylinder Enduro, 4/6 Cylinder Truck Enduro, Car Rollover Contest and One-on-One Spectator Drags. All the action will go green at 12:30 pm and a May 2nd rain date is in effect.
    For Saturday night April 24th qualifying will take the green at 4:30 pm, while main event racing starts at 6:30 pm.
