CHOOSE #45 DOLPHIN FITNESS PAINT SCHEME VOTE

Ralph Soluri, and the #45 Dolphin Fitness of Long Island Chevrolet Malibu Grand Enduro need your help.  Four paint schemes have been finalized, and Team Copiague wants the fans to decide.

“Uncle Pete” Lobianco skillfully crafted the paint schemes in question.  Lobianco is a professional artist by trade, and has worked with the Schulz family (of Peanuts fame) for years.  One of Lobianco’s claims to fame is developing the big Snoopy on the Metlife blimp.  In addition to paint scheme development, Lobianco works with Team Copiague on bodywork and other design and drawing needs.

The highlight of the paint schemes in question is the dolphin which represents Ralph Soluri’s #45 Main Sponsor, Dolphin Fitness of Long Island.  Paul Riedell, owner of Dolphin Fitness, has a five-year old son Nicholas which is a big racecar fan.  Dolphin Fitness has two convenient locations, one in Amityville and the other in Westbury where we urge you to come down and get fit for the fast approaching summer season.

To even give you more of an incentive to come on down, Dolphin Fitness will be offering FREE 2-week passes for you to try it out if you mention Team Copiague and LongIslandJam.com.

In addition, to Dolphin Fitness being the prime sponsor of the beautiful #45, there are many other associate sponsors which make it possible for Ralph Soluri and the Dolphin Fitness Express to make it to the track.  Rich at Classified Racing, Larry at Public Battery of Copiague, Lou of Lindenhurst Meineke, and the Tire Depot of Copiague help fuel the beautiful #45 Grand Enduro.

In addition, it takes a good crew to be successful as well.  Richie Staib, car and motor builder, a perfectionist in his craft, helped build the winning Enduro car of Ralph Soluri a few years back.  Staib is also responsible for building three other Grand Enduro cars this season and it is expected that you will see them up front for all of 2004.

Tommy Webster lends out a major hand in setting up the car and there’s nothing Tommy can’t do.  The Webster family is noted for their racing heritage with brother Danny (who helps out as well) winning everything in sight in 2004 and brother Billy who was one of the best Figure 8 builders out there until his untimely passing due to cancer.  Tommy works on all our out of remembrance of his brother Billy.  Billy Webster, Jr. who was a driving force in our crew in past years will be not with us this year as he is serving our country as a marine in Iraq.  In addition, the third brother, “Dirt Track” Charlie Webster will be making his stock car racing return this year.

Also to thank for the help are “Jumpin’” Joe Palmeri, Billy “Bear” Weigelt, Keith “Beauu” Willnuer, and former Enduro driver, Scooter Scott, who are always there lending a hand to Team Copiague.

The #45 Dolphin Fitness of Long Island Chevrolet is all fueled up and ready to go to have a successful 2004 year, now its your turn to choose what paint scheme Ralph Soluri should drive to the front.
