RIVERHEAD RACEWAY
ADDS SEASONAL SPONSORS PRIOR TO OPENER
Like a
flurry of trading just before the closing bell on New York's
famed Wall Street, Riverhead Raceway officials were busy
lining up seasonal sponsors on the eve of the 2004 NASCAR
Dodge Weekly Series opener. Four additional Long Island based
companies have signed on with four divisions for the new
season.
The NASCAR Modifieds will find Trailer
Transport returning to the fold for 2004. It was also
disclosed that the Westbury based firm would return with the
Super Pro Truck troops as well this season. Two Trailer
Transport nights will be held in '04, the first on Saturday
night May 29th for the Modifieds with July 31st set aside for
the Super Pro Trucks.
Also rejoining the NASCAR Modifieds
for this season are the U.S. Marine Corps through their Long
Island recruiting station. The U.S. Marine Corps will host
their night at the race on Saturday July 17th, which has been
dubbed "Motorcycle Mayhem" with Jim
"Crash" Moreau performing during the NASCAR Dodge
Weekly Series program.
The return of both Trailer Transport
and U.S. Marine Corps brings the total of seasonal sponsor in
the NASCAR Modifieds to five, with Miller Lite, Eagle
Chevrolet and Viagra already on board.
Victory Fleet Maintenance this week
agreed to re-sign with the Blunderbust class for 2004, despite
the fact they will field a team in the Super Pro Truck
division. A "night at the races" program will be
announced in the near future, which will be hosted by Carl and
Betsi Rackoff from Victory Fleet Maintenance. New York Metro
Peterbilt and Doug Wholey's Excavating will join Victory as
Blunderbust sponsors in 2004.
On Wednesday of this week it was
announced that Amity Nissan Superstore has signed on to be a
seasonal sponsor for both the Late Model and Super Pro Truck
divisions. Rich Cardella and staff from the Amity Nissan
Superstore will host two "night at the races", first
on June 26th for the Late Models, and second with the Super
Pro Truck night on September 5th.
Amity Nissan Superstore joins Eagle
Chevrolet in backing the Late Models and is joined in the
Super Pro Trucks by Auto Tech Diagnostic and Trailer
Transport.
