RIVERHEAD MARKS 20 YEARS OF FEATHERLITE MODIFIED RACING IN 2004

When the green flag falls on the Miller Lite 200 Saturday June 5th at Riverhead Raceway it will mark the 20th consecutive year that Barbara & Jim Cromarty will play host to the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series. Many great drivers have won a FMS race at the quarter mile oval since 1985, but who will add their name in 2004?
When one looks over the names that have won a NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series event at the demanding oval, it reads like an all-star roster. Mike Ewanitsko is the all-time leading winner of FMS races at Riverhead. Mike is joined by such standouts as Steve Park, Jimmy Spencer, Mike Stefanik, Reggie Ruggiero, Rick Fuller, Tom Baldwin, Bob Park, Ted Christopher, Ed Flemke Jr., Wayne Anderson, Ed Brunnhoelzl Jr., Dan Jivanelli and Don Howe.
The 2004 edition of the Miller Lite 200 is slated to start 28 cars with defending FMS champion Todd Szegedy leading the troops into town. Joining the Miller Lite 200 will be the Charger and Blunderbust divisions of the Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.
