It's time to
spring into summer on Long Island and in auto racing circles
that translates into a Memorial Day weekend doubleheader at
Barbara & Jim Cromarty's Riverhead Raceway. Saturday
evening will be a night of NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing
May 29th, while Sunday afternoon the Enduro stars will take
over the quarter mile oval.
Set to see action on Saturday will be
the NASCAR Modifieds who will race on Trailer Transport night
and be joined by the Late Models, Figure Eights and Chargers.
The evening will also serve as NASCAR night with plenty of
giveaways for the fans on hand. Adding some spice to the night
will be a Full Size School Bus Race on the Figure Eight
course, a Train Race, Car Rollover Contest and a 6 Cylinder
Demolition Derby. The Train Race also utilizes the Figure
Eight course.
Action will commence at 4:30 with
qualifying, while the feature events will take the green
Saturday evening at 6:30 pm.
Headlining the Sunday afternoon
program will be the Super Pro Trucks who will race in their
first matinee of 2004. Then a full slate of Enduro racing will
be presented with the popular Grand Enduro taking center
stage. They'll be joined by two 8-Cylinder Enduros, a 6
Cylinder Enduro, 4 Cylinder Enduro and a 4/6 Cylinder Truck
Enduro. Completing the show will be One-On-One Spectator
