RIVERHEAD
FIGURE 8 COURSE AWAITS MINI SCHOOL BUSES JUNE 26
Ever
get stuck behind one of those yellow Mini-School Buses that
seems to stop at every corner? Want a chance to get even? Well
then Saturday night June 26th is your night at Riverhead
Raceway when Barbara and Jim Cromarty will present a
Mini-School Bus Figure Eight race as part of their NASCAR
Dodge Weekly Series program.
After the 3-M Night NASCAR stock car
portion of the show has been completed, including the Barrasso
& Sons Mason Supplies Ernie Maynor Memorial Figure Eight
and Amity Nissan night Late Model feature, it will then be
time for the wild and unpredictable action to commence.
The Mini-School Bus Figure Eight event
will be 12-laps in distance and is the first of two events for
this type of machine. If the buses survive the Figure Eight
race on June 26th, one month later they'll be destroyed in a
Mini-School Bus Demolition Derby on Saturday July 24th.
When the Mini-School Bus Figure Eight
race is checkered then it will be time to roll out the first
8-Cylinder Demolition Derby for the full size vehicles. The
last man standing will be declared the winner of the rock 'em,
sock 'em event which will test both man & machine.
Joining the Amity Nissan Super Store
night Late Model and Barrasso & Sons Mason Supplies Figure
Eight race will be the NASCAR Modifieds, as well as the
Blunderbust division. Qualifying will go green at 4:30 pm,
with main event racing set for 6:00 pm. Please note the 6:00
pm feature event start time will be in effect for the
remainder of the 2004 season.
