CHILD HITS A HOLE IN ONE WITH UNIQUE GOLF
Wild Child Racing’s famous
#00 Blunderbust, driven by Tommy Walkowiak, has hit a hole in
one as the team has found the sponsor that will drive
them to the championship chase – Unique Golf Shop.
With winning back-to-back features this past two weeks,
Walkowiak is on a hot streak and with Unique Golf Shop on
board, the team has now got the funding to fuel them for
a return to the championship race.

Walkowiak, a 14-year racing veteran, has come up through the
ranks of Riverhead Raceway earning 4 Car Rollover wins, 6
Spectator Drag wins, a Judge’s Choice in the Demolition
Derby, and 10 Enduro wins, including the 1997 Invitational.
Tommy Walkowiak was fast out of the box when he debuted
in the Blunderbusts during the 2000 season, earning 2 top
10’s in his first 3 starts.
Quickly the next year he would earn his first
Blunderbust win and has since amassed 8 wins in total.
Unique Golf Shop is no stranger
to racing, proudly sponsoring likes of the #85 Modified of
Lenny Fischer, #14 Late Model of Mike Mortimer, and the
#10 Figure 8 of George Sprague.
Unique Golf Shop is a family-owned business started by
Tom Wichert in January of 1994.
What’s “unique” about Unique Golf Shop is that it
was the first store in the New York metropolitan area to use
the concept of selling both new and used golf equipment as
well as buying used golf equipment.

In 2004, Tommy Walkowiak has
had an up-and-down year, earning a win on his second night
out, but getting hurt in points due to poor finishes during
double pointers. In
recent weeks, Walkowiak has rose to the top once again,
winning the past two races back-to-back in a borrowed car.
Now back in the top 10 in points, and with a great new
