LATE MODELS ADDED TO NSS LINEUP

Lexington, NC:  C&C Racing, promoters of the North-South Shootout™ announced recently that the Late Model Stocks will be added to the action-packed line up of the North-South Shootout™.  The Late Models provide the final piece to the puzzle that will be the 2nd Annual North-South Shootout™ scheduled for November 5&6, 2004 at Concord Motorsports Park in Concord, NC.   The full-fendered contingent joins the headlining Modifieds, Vintage divisions, and Thunder Roadsters.

"We have worked long and hard to find a suitable support division for the Shootout," said promoter Charles Kepley.  "We wanted an affordable division that would provide some great racing action for the Shootout fans.  We really didn't have to look beyond our own back yard."

The South is a hotbed for Late Model Stock competition and Concord Motorsports Park has been home to some of the most exciting LMS races in recent memory.

"We are hoping that we can entice some of the northern teams to come on down and enjoy our Southern hospitality," said Kepley.

The Late Models will run Twin 50s during the weekend with $1,000 going to the winner each night. The running order for Friday night's feature will be determined through time trials.  Saturday's starting line-up will be determined by some form of an inversion of the previous night's finishing order.  A consolation race will be held if necessary.  C&C Racing will pay $100 to take the green flag in each of the feature events.

"The rules will be consistent with NASCAR's Late Model Stock rules," continued Kepley,  "with the exception of the built motor weight rule."

In response to a building controversy in the South, C&C Racing will require an additional 75 lbs. for cars running crate motors.  Additionally, a bonus has been instituted to appease the feuding LMS factions.  In the event that a crate motor wins either of the two events, the first finishing built motor will receive a bonus of $250 and vice versa.

Complete rules are available by calling (508) 384-6004.  Registration forms are available by logging on to www.racerap.com or by calling C&C Racing at (800) 237-2536.

The North-South Shootout™ is a 100-lap Modified race that will feature the best Modified drivers from both north and south of the Mason-Dixon Line on the famed half-mile tri-oval of Concord Motorsports Park.  The North-South Shootout™ presented by C&C Racing Promotions-Except NO Substitutes.
