HALLOWEEN THEMED FRANKENDURO TO BE A MONSTER EVENT
With over 150 cars already pre-registered and more coming in
every day, the North East Enduro Tour Series Halloween
themed Enduro event being held at Mountain Speedway is a big
hit with the racing community.
"I
have people coming from 8 states and wouldn't be surprised
at a 200 car count figure" says promoter Billy Bartley.
"This is the time of year racers just want to have fun...
and they will."
The family oriented day will consist of a 131 lap 6/8-cylinder
race, a 100 lap 4-cylinder race and a 31 lap Ladies race.
There will be a children's costume parade and contest at
1:30 pm with candy for all and many great prizes including a
Nintendo Gameboy SSP provided by B.V. Sprinklers for the
overall winner. Fans will be thrilled at not only the action
packed true enduro style racing but the cars themselves. Most
of the drivers are painting and decorating their rides in the
Halloween spirit in hopes to win the "Best Decorated Car
award" for each of the divisions judged by the fans. They
will see cars dressed as pumpkins, monsters, ghosts, vampires,
etc in a fashion only their own imagination can conjure. A
great top 5 purse and top 5 trophies will reward these
entrants for their efforts. The day's event will be
followed by a free Halloween party for all participants
at the Crossroads Inn in Mountaintop, Pa. with a DJ,
dancing, hot wings, munchies, adult refreshments, and an
"Adult" costume contest.
In
attendance and participating in the 4-cylinder race will be
Sarah Jane Hunt, assistant producer of Dave Despain's "Windtunnel"
program on the Speed Channel, plus many more media
personalities providing the event with much coverage.
Pits
will open at 10am with a warm up session at 12 noon. Driver's
meeting at 1pm with 1st race at 2pm. Grandstand admission will
only be $5 for age 7 to 100 (under 6 and over 100 free).
Children's
costume contest at 1:30 judged by 6/8-cylinder drivers,
so bring the kids!!!
