IT
WILL BE A "MUTHA" (AND THAT'S ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE
SAID)
The weekend of November
20/21 is going to be NASCARS Daytona of Enduro racing. Billy
Bartley, promoter of the North East Enduro Tour Series (NEETS),
has a weekend of enduro racing you will not want to miss
whether you will be a fan or a driver. The event was
tagged the "MUTHA" of all Enduros and that is what
it is expected to be.
The 300 lap big car feature event will be held
on Sunday, November 21 along with the 'Lil MUTHA 150
lap 4cyl event. The total minimum 100 car purse will be over
$12,000 cash, with the 6/8 cyl big car winner taking
home $5,000 in green and 4cyl winner a nice $2,500 figure. This
figure should easily be met with over 160 cars
pre-registered now with two weeks left to go.
Preceding Sundays main
events will be Saturdays qualifying races. Ten car/ten lap
heat races lined up by a card pick run in enduro style will
set up the feature line ups for the next days big
races. The cars feature starting positions will line
straight up determined by how they finish in the heat
races.... for example; If you win a heat race and there are
10 heats, you will start no farther back than 10th spot for
the feature race. If you came in 2nd, you will be in the
11th through 20th position and so-on.
After the Saturdays
qualifying races, Billy B. is again throwing a FREE
adult party (age 21+) to all participants at the Crossroads
Inn at 7pm to show his appreciation to all that support the
event. Hundreds of Hot Wings, munchie trays, beer, a great
DJ and dancing will be in store for those who wish to
attend. Billy is allowing free camping on the speedway
grounds and also has area hotel phone numbers on the
website forum all within a few miles of the track.
For those drivers
not attending on Saturdays qualifying, they will be placed
in the back of Sundays race as the register up to 130 cars.
130 cars is the cut-off point and no more cars will be
allowed.
Just a reminder, this is a
"bonestock/junk car" race and there will be strict
tech afterwards for those in the money positions. All rules
and race info is on the www.neetstour.net
website so please make sure you check them out so there are
no suprises.
One thing is for sure, some lucky drivers will be
taking the trip back home with some good Christmas shopping cash
to the tune of what a NASCAR Modified driver would be
envious of receiving.
Keep watching
for the 8 great Holiday themed events coming up in 2005
starting with the infamous "Beaters with Heaters
II" on Jan 2nd. A total re-vamp of the NEETS website
should be making the airwaves by the end on November including
the 2005 schedule.
