RIVERHEAD
WINTER MEETING COMING JAN 30
The
first order of business for the owners and drivers of the 2005
NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Riverhead Raceway will be the
Competitors Winter Meeting, which is quickly approaching. The
daylong get together on Sunday January 30th. will again be
held at the famed Polish Hall in Riverhead.
Blunderbust competitors will gather
from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, while the Charger and Super Pro
Truck teams will meet from 11:15 am until 12:30 pm. After a
lunch break, Chief Steward Bill Denniston and his team of
NASCAR Officials the meetings will resume with the Late Model
and Figure Eight divisions from 2:15 pm until 3:45 pm. The
afternoon will conclude with a NASCAR Modified meeting
starting a 4:00 pm.
Just two representatives per team will
be permitted to attend the Competitor Winter Meeting whether
it's the owner/driver, driver/crew chief, driver spotter or
any combination of two team members. Among the announcements
to be made at the January 30th conferences are the dates for
the pre-season technical inspection of racecars prior to the
two test and tune sessions on April 16th and 23rd.
Opening weekend 2005 at Barbara and
Jim Cromarty's Riverhead Raceway is all set for Saturday April
30th featuring a six for one NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series
program, with the Enduro series set to debut the very next
afternoon Sunday May 1st.
