RIVERHEAD
SETS DATES FOR PRESEASON TECH
Riverhead
Raceway Chief Steward Bill Denniston has announced the three
dates for the pre-season safety inspections. The weekend of
Saturday and Sunday April 2nd and 3rd along with Saturday
April 9th have been set aside to perform a safety inspection
for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series machines. The
Riverhead Raceway phone number will not be covered on these
dates. To verify that inspections are being conducted,
this number may be contacted - (631) 727-5085; this number is
for pre-tech inspection only and is not a raceway phone
number.
Complete racecars will be inspected
from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on all three days in the Riverhead
Raceway pit area with a nominal pit fee of $5-being charged
for those entering the pits. If weather conditions permit the
Riverhead Inspection staff will go one step further and seal
engines for the 2005 campaign, but again conditions must be
ideal. Owners and drivers must note that no car will be
permitted on the track for the two pre-season practice dates
on April 16th and 23rd without going through at least the
safety tech, no exceptions!
Denniston also disclosed that JYD
Enterprises would have their Hoosier Tire compound open for
business on all three-inspection dates so teams can obtain
their practice tires.
