MILLER LITE RETURNS FOR 21ST SEASON
In one of the longest running short
track sponsorships in auto racing, officials of Riverhead
Raceway announced today that Miller Lite would be returning
to the quarter mile facility as a marketing partner for the
21st consecutive season. The 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series
will go green at Barbara and Jim Cromarty's fabled quarter
mile on Saturday night April 30th.
Al Frazer, director of marketing for Boening Brothers
the Long Island distributor of Miller Lite and related
brands noted, "it's really become second nature to team-up
with the Cromarty family and all the great racers at
Riverhead Raceway". Indeed the partnership has worked for
both parties since its inception in 1985 and continues to
flourish today.
Miller Lite will serve as a seasonal sponsor for the
NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby events
in '05. Miller Lite will add purse money for all three
classes in 2005 as well as host their popular night at the
races program on Saturday evening August 20th and Saturday
September 17th.
The signature event of the Miller Lite marketing package
annually is the Miller Lite 150 for the NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour on Saturday June 4th. For the first time since
the introduction of the Whelen Modified Tour in '85 the race
will be shorter than 200 laps with the new 150-circuit
format.
Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft will continue to be
proudly served at Riverhead Raceway in 2005.
On the April 30th lid lifter for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly
Series it will be a six for one race card with the NASCAR
Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers,
Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks.
