JOHN DENNISTON ARMED WITH NEW SPONSOR

    The dust had not even settled on John Denniston's 2004 Rookie of the Year performance at Riverhead Raceway before he and his JYD Motorsports/L.I. Motorsports teams started plotting their 2005 plans. Part of those plans was announcing a new sponsor that will find the team getting a jump on the 2005 season by competing at the New Symrna Speedway during Speedweeks next week.
    Tri-State Towing Equipment will join the JYD Motorsports/L.I. Motorsports effort as a primary sponsor in 2005 it was announced last week in a joint announcement made by Denniston and Tom DeCillis of Tri-State. "This is truly the boost we needed," boasted John Denniston. "We did extremely well last year, but we needed some additional help. With Tri-State Towing Equipment coming on board we will now be able not only to run Riverhead, but some shows off Long Island as well".
    Heading to New Symrna for the eight nights of World Series of Asphalt Racing Denniston has set some realistic goals for the busy week, "we just want to compete in all eight nights and get as much track time as we can. There is a lot of talented race teams down there and it will be a learning experience for sure"
    After the Florida swing Denniston and car owner Joe Ambrose will then shift their attention to the ultra-competitive Riverhead Raceway 2005 schedule. The tandem won the 2004 Rookie of the Year honors beating out one of the toughest ever roster of first year drivers including Sal Accardi Jr., Steve Tooker and Dave Sapienza.
    "We were happy with a 7th place finish in the points and we'd like to better that, but that first career NASCAR Modified victory, that's what we're aiming for" Denniston concluded.
    Returning to the JYD Motorsports/L.I. Motorsports team as sponsors for the new season are Trailer Transport Inc., JYD Enterprises, Sunoco Race Fuels, Tower Fasteners, Dormer King, B&G Deli, Pete's Towing & Auto Body, Bonsignore Kart Supply and The Vinyl Answer.
    The first test for the Tri-State Towing Equipment team will be this Friday night February 11th at the lighting fast New Symrna Speedway.
