Five J's Motorsports is proud to announce Joseph
Burns move to the New England Legacy Series. The
13-year old Burns plans to run a limited schedule in
2005 with plans for a few National races and a full New
England docket in 2006.
Joseph Burns is a racing veteran at the mere age of
13. Burns has made his way up the ranks, racing
go-karts and currently races Mini Cups in the Long
Island Mini Cup association.
Burns is looking forward to the challenge and feels
the Legacy cars are his first step towards driving a
true racecar. Legacy cars feature a Mazda engine,
a quick change rear, 5 speed transmission and weighs at
1,700 lbs. Burns biggest challenge will be
learning the standard transmission as the karts and Mini
Cups use a centrifugal clutch.
The new car presents an exciting opportunity for
Burns and he hopes to rise to the occasion in this new
challenge.
