11)
ROBIN VOLLMOELLER SR.
#2 Solar Salon Tanning Pontiac |
It is very surprising to
see Robin finish outside the 10 ten in points.
Vollmoeller did manage to tie for most wins of 2004 with
3 and he earned 6 top fives and 9 top tens in 15 races.
The “Most Heart” award goes out to Robin for racing with
a bad back most of the season. He had trouble coming out
of the car in all 3 visits to victory lane, but for a
driver who raced with his hood up, this is no surprise
to see Robin overcome adversity once again. |

12) ERIC
GOODALE
#05 Riverhead Building Pontiac |
In 2003 I was impressed
by the young Goodale and was waiting to see what he
would bring to the table in 2004. In 14 races he had
only 2 top fives and 5 top tens. It seemed that the
accident bug got the best of him in 2004 which
contributed to a disappointing 2004 season. |

13) MIKE
COLL
#61 Continental Marble Dodge |
2004 was not a bad
season for the young Coll. Coll came out of ill handling
Blunderbust and seemed to handle the Chargers alright in
2004. In 16 races, he had a pretty decent year with 5
top fives and 8 top tens. |

14) RON
HLATKY
#44
Chevrolet |
At the start of the
year the #44 Charger looked to be strong, but got
tangled up throughout the season with fellow
competitors. A lot of fans and drivers saw a
different side to Hlatky at the beginning of the
year and we all thought we’d see a stronger season
out of the #44 camp. In 16 races, Hlatky earned 3
top fives and 8 top tens. |

15) BRIAN
DOYLE
#73
Leading Edge Fab. Pontiac |
Doyle seemed to relearning a lot in
his first year back behind the #73 machine at
Riverhead Raceway. Doyle earned 0 top fives, but did
salvage 3 top tens. Hopefully 2005 is a better year
for Doyle. |

16) STEVE
RATTI
#75
NY Sports Therapy Chevrolet |
Ratti was one of the
strongest competitors at the start of the season.
Ratti brought home 2 wins, 5 top fives and 6 top
tens in 11 races. He left Riverhead midseason and
competed at various tracks such as Thompson and
Waterford Speedbowl. |

17)
JEREMY MCDERMOTT
#2 Pontiac |
McDermott earned 1 win,
1 top five and 5 top tens in 14 races. He looked to
be strong at first but had heavy damage done to the
#5. Later in the season he seemed to bounce back
into nice form. |

18) SEAN
BYRNE
#65 Dodge |
Byrne seemed to have a
tough time acclimating himself to the Charger
division and stepping up from the Blunderbusts. He
did have some pretty good runs, but fell to the back
of the field towards the end of the race. However,
his car has been known to do that from time to time
in seasons past. Byrne earned only 1 top five and 1
top ten in 2004. |

19) JIM
DONNELLY
#27
SPONSORS WANTED Chevy |
In 12 races, Donnelly
earned no top fives or top tens. He seemed to get
himself into a lot of trouble on the track and
hopefully in 2005 he improves his performance as
2004 was less than stellar. |

DAVE XAVIER
#11x
Slomin's Chevrolet |
Xavier raced a limited
schedule with only 6 races but 2 top tens. Xavier’s
#11x is fully capable of visiting victory lane and
hopefully in 2005 Xavier will attempt more races to
improve his skills and his chances for the win. |
