BERTUCCIO MOVES UP TO CUP WITH JAM
LongIslandJam.com’s
favorite topic on its forums, J.R. Bertuccio, has
decided to team up with LongIslandJam.com’s parent
company, RacerHub, to field a part-time NASCAR Nextel
Cup effort in 2005. Filling Bertuccio’s ride at
Riverhead Raceway will be none other than
LongIslandJam.com’s own movie star, Dan “Danielson”
Dombal.
In a surprise announcement,
J.A. Ackley, owner of RacerHub and LongIslandJam.com will be
fielding a #26 RacerHub Chevrolet for 2002 Riverhead Raceway
Champion, J.R. Bertuccio, in select events for NASCAR Nextel
Cup.
“Advertising revenues for
our sites have been extremely well in 2005,” the 22-year old
Cup owner, J.A. Ackley commented. “We’ve even been
approached by some NASCAR Nextel Cup teams to sponsor them,
so I figured if we’re that big, let’s join the big boys.”
And who better to represent
RacerHub’s Cup effort, than Ackley’s hometown hero, J.R.
Bertuccio. The 23-year old phenom from the bullring known
as Riverhead Raceway has an impressive stat record which not
many can compare. Bertuccio has 23 wins and a championship
at a track that boasts wins from former cup competitors,
Steve Park, Greg Sacks, and Jimmy Spencer.
“I gotta admit I was
skeptical,” Bertuccio commented, “But when I saw the former
Jeff Gordon Montes in J.A.’s shop I was sold.”
And speaking of Jeff
Gordon, his number one fan, and LongIslandJam.com’s own
movie star, Dan Dombal will be filling in for J.R. Bertuccio
in the familiar purple #2.
“Dombal is a natural
selection, as his performance in a Modified during Feel The
Thrill Day deserves recognition so I figured I hook him up
with the best ride at Riverhead,” Ackley commented, “Besides
his natural charisma exhibited during Danielson movie shoots
makes him a sponsor-friendly driver...”
The current team for
Bertuccio’s Modified ride will move up to the Cup level as
well. Along with Bertuccio's trusted crew will be Walter
Johnston coming aboard as PR representative due to his
talented abilities for race reporting as well as his noted
spelling and grammar skills on the forums. The RacerHub Cup team has a few openings for the best on
Long Island and those openings will be announced in upcoming
days.
Dombal has specifically requested that Richie
Grodski serve as his Crew Chief as Grodski is one master
fabricator. In addition, Buddy has been named official
bodyguard for the Modified ride as well.
Whatever you think, 2005 is
going to be a dynamic year for the new RacerHub Motor
Ventures entries. For 2005, Bertuccio in the #26 RacerHub
Chevrolet and Dombal in the #2 Gershow Recycling Chevrolet
will be a tandem to beat. Stay tuned for further
