Lexington, NC:
The Joie of Seating of Concord, NC has joined the
growing list of contingency sponsors to support the 3rd
Annual North-South Shootout ™ scheduled for November 4&5,
2005 at Concord Motorsports Park also in Concord, NC. The
Joie of Seating will present winners of both the Modified
and SK Modified main events with a coupon worth $500 toward
the purchase of a Saturday Night Special. Additionally, a
Safer System (valued at $450) will be awarded to the winners
of both the Modified and SK non-qualifiers events.
"The North-South
Shootout ™ provides us with an excellent opportunity as we
continue to expand our customer base," said General Manager
Joe Pelham. "The level of excitement for this race continues
to grow and we are very happy to be part of it.”
The
North-South Shootout™ is a 100-lap Modified race that
features the best Modified drivers from both north and south
of the Mason-Dixon Line on the famed half-mile tri-oval of
Concord Motorsports Park. For the first time, the popular
SK Modifieds will be part of the excitement of the
North-South Shootout ™.
The racy vintage Modified contingent will be part of the
two-day racing extravaganza as well.
The format for the
third annual event will boast time trials, heat races,
consolation and non-qualifiers event(s) for both the
Modifieds and SKs. The Modifieds will go 100 green flag
laps while the SK Modifieds will do 50-laps.
The Saturday Night Special (priced at $1,350)
is an aluminum seat that offers the protection of added
front, side and shoulder support. It is suitable for most
short track racing applications. The Safer System is a bolt
on kit that includes a head restraint and two-side pieces.
The system will bolt on to any Kirkey, Butler or Richardson
seat.
The Joie of Seating uses a patented jig to
build a safer more comfortable aluminum seat. Tests have
proven it's also safer than other aluminum seats, with added
front, side and shoulder strength. The company was founded
by multi-time NASCAR Busch Series champion Randy LaJoie.
“In an age when everyone is being more
conscious about the risks involved in racing, we are
extremely proud to be affiliated with the Joie of Seating
and their outstanding products,” said race Promoter Charles
Kepley of Lexington, NC. “Further, the North-South Shootout
™ is built on the pride and prestige of Modified racing and
company founder Randy LaJoie can certainly appreciate that
given his background.”
Modified Tour competitors like Chuck Hossfeld,
Ted Christopher, Bob Park, Zane Ziener, and others depend on
the Joie of Seating.
SK Series drivers
James Civali, Jeff Pearl, Woody Pitkat, Chris
Pasteryak, Eric Berndt, Mike Holdridge, Dennis Gada and
Kerry Malone all enjoy the safety of Joie of Seating
products.
The Joie of Seating offers a complete product
line that can suit the needs of most racing applications
from the local racer to the ranks of Nextel Cup.
