BUS FIGURE 8 TO KICK OFF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

The annual Memorial Day weekend doubleheader at Barbara and Jim Cromarty's Riverhead Raceway will get off to a thrilling start on Saturday night May 28th as a Full Size School Bus Figure Eight race and a 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby will spice up the race card. The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series portion of the show will be highlighted by Viagra night for the NASCAR Modifieds.
The Saturday night portion of the Memorial Day double dip will surely be a night that has something for everyone. As part of the Viagra night festivities the Roush Racing Nextel Cup Ford of Mark Martin, sponsored by Viagra will be on display in turn three. The "Mod Squad" will race for the Viagra hardware in a 35-lap main event and joining them will be Late Models, Chargers and Blunderbusts.
Mixed in with all the stock car excitement will be even more thrills and spills with a wild Car Rollover Contest being conducted, the first of the 2005 campaign. If that doesn't make your blood rush well than maybe a Figure Eight race featuring Full Size School Buses might do the trick as this has become one of the more popular events at the quarter mile oval. To ice the cake of thrills a 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby will close out this breathtaking show.
Because this will be one of the busier programs of the year the feature events will start at 5:00 pm on Saturday May 28th.
Then the very next afternoon Sunday May 29th the Super Pro Trucks will run a 20-lap main event as part of the Enduro program. Enduro races for the 8-Cylinder, 6-Cylinder, 4-Cylinder and 4/6 Cylinder Truck races will join the Grand Enduro. One-On-One Spectator Drags will complete the busy afternoon of racing which gets underway at 12:30 pm. In the event of rain Sunday the Enduro show will shift to Monday May 30th with a 12:30 pm start time.
