Riverhead Victory Celebration Set for
November 5
The champions of the 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at
Barbara and Jim Cromarty’s Riverhead Raceway will be feted at a
new venue this November 5th. The Riverhead Polish Club will be
the site which offers a more affordable and relaxed atmosphere
for everyone to enjoy a fun night.
Bill Park of Manorville will lead the 2005 Parade of
Champions. The NASCAR Modified champions will be joined by
Late Model kingpin Roger Oxee of Peconic, George Sprague of N.
Patchogue who is the Figure Eight champion, Charger champ Dan
Turbush of Riverhead and Blunderbust champion Scott Maliszewski
of Deer Park. As of press time the 2005 Super Pro Truck champion
had yet to be decided.
A dinner choice of Roast Beef or Chicken will be on the menu
and be complimented by Fruit Cocktail, Green Salad, Rolls &
Butter, Ham & Cheese and Kielbasa & Sauerkraut. Potatoes and
Vegetables will accompany the dinner as well, with Ice Cream
dessert to follow. A cash bar will be in effect throughout the
night.
Tickets are just $35 per person for the Riverhead Raceway
Victory Celebration where the top ten in points will collect
their 2005-point fund money and there will be plenty of Special
Awards announced as well. The affair runs from 7:30 pm until
12:30 am.
Tickets are available by calling the Riverhead Raceway
office at 631-842 RACE Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until
5:00 pm. The Riverhead Polish Club is located at 214 Marcy
Avenue in Riverhead.
