Walt DeMorris
by J.A. Ackley

Walt DeMorris, whom passed away this past October, was remembered for not winning the most championships, nor winning the most races, but for winning the hearts of those whom were privileged to have known him.  DeMorris was the epitome of the low-buck racer, whom crewed, sponsored, and drove his own effort 99% of the time.

Walt enjoyed life to its fullest and tried to have fun everywhere he went.  Off the track Walt was an avid Jets fan whom had season tickets for their whole season.  In addition, Walt’s favorite musician was Jimmy Buffett, where on any given night Walt was in the shop, you could hear him singing along for seemingly blocks away.

In closing, Walt will still missed by many of us down here, his family and friends, as he was truly an angel but now he can party for an eternity in Margaritaville.  Although he would never experience victory lane, those around him knew that victory lane was being with him.
