First Annual "Jam Bash" - October 1
With the season
finally winding down, LongIslandJam.com is planning to celebrate
the end to a good year with the first annual “Jam Bash” at Prime
Choice Collectibles in Centereach on Saturday October 1. Along
with free food and drinks, the Top 5 Contest winners will be
awarded their prizes for winning a very daunting and competitive
picking season.
The Top 5
Contest, now in its third year presented many challenges for
LongIslandJam.com visitors, with many contests featuring the
second-place finisher missing the Grand Prize by a mere point.
In The Modified Top 5 Contest, our most popular
contest, run by Debbie Fleming, the founder of the
LongIslandJam.com Top 5 contest, Doug “modified_fan” Corwin
finally took down the prize, winning a 1:24 diecast of Dale
Earnhardt, Jr.’s Budweiser Born on Date Chevrolet which was run
during this year’s Budweiser Shootout.
In the Late Model Top 5 Contest, run by Jim
Zaleski, Blunderbust competitor, Neal “Wheel Racing” Feola, Jr.
won the 1:24 Kyle Busch Kellogg’s rookie car up for grabs.
In the Charger Top 5 Contest, run by Jim Zaleski,
first ever LongIslandJam.com Top 5 Contest winner, Buddy “Ace”
Turbush took down prize, a 1:24 Kasey Kahne MAD Magazine car,
driven last year.
In the Blunderbust Top 5 Contest run by Kim Broy,
Enduro competitor, Brian “xroundguy” Sklarsky took the prize of
a 1:24 Kevin Harvick Powerade car, which is 1 out of only 600
that were made. Sklarsky would also end up winning the Figure 8
contest run by Rob Bada, along with Joe “Slice” Sescila whom he
tied with. Both will win a t-shirt of their choice at Prime
Choice Collectibles.
And rounding out the list of winners, Chris
“bulldozer” Turbush won the Super Pro Truck Top 5 Contest run by
Regina Melnic, where Turbush will win a Dale Earnhardt Jr.
