Smith River and Sink Tower Team with
Hillbilly Racing at Martinsville
Hillbilly Racing is
pleased to announce that Smith River Community Bank, N.A. and Sink Tower
Erection Company will sponsor the #79 Hill Enterprises Pontiac at
Martinsville Speedway this weekend during the Made in America 300. Hillbilly
Racing is based in Westfield, NC, but competes mostly in the northeast on
the Whelen
Modified Tour with driver Chuck Hossfeld from Buffalo, NY. This event is the
team’s one “home game” of the season.
Smith River Community Bank, which was founded in 1999,
operates banks in Martinsville, Stanleytown, Stuart and Drakes, VA. Smith
River president Ron Haley is excited to team up with Hillbilly Racing on
this exciting weekend. “With more than 30,000 fans at the inaugural event,
we’re confident that partnering the fastest growing community bank in
Southside Virginia with one of the fastest teams in the area makes for a
good combination. We’re all looking forward to it and we’re all pulling for
driver Chuck Hossfeld.”
Haley knows that this partnership is a good fit for the
business. “The Martinsville Speedway is such an integral part of the region
and the Hill organization is one of the top NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
teams,” Haley said. “We’re pleased to be associated with a sport that means
so much to our market area.”
Sink Tower Erection Company of Winston-Salem, NC is
sponsoring the team at Martinsville for the second straight year. Sink Tower
constructs cell towers all over the east coast.
Team owner Roger Hill is grateful for the support he receives
from the local business community. “We’re delighted to pick up Smith River
as a sponsor for the Martinsville race,” said Hill. “They are a fast moving
community bank in every sense of the word and we like fast company.”
“We’re also thankful of the continued support we receive from
our friends at Sink Tower,” Hill continued. “It’s great to have them with us
at Martinsville again this year.”
The Made in America 300 will take place under the lights at
Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, September 2nd. This will be the 11th race
of the 16-race Whelen Modified Tour schedule. Hossfeld and the team are
currently ninth in the series standings.
