RAIN POSTPONES STAFFORD SPEEDWAY'S
CARQUEST FALL FINAL WEEKEND TO SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29th

With the forecast calling for heavy rainfall throughout the entire day and into the evening, Stafford Motor Speedway has postponed its CARQUEST Fall Final racing card that was scheduled for Saturday, October 28 to Sunday, October 29.
The schedule of events for Sunday, October 29th will remain the same, with spectator gates opening at 10am, Stafford's famous Pit Party running from 11:30am to 12:30pm, and feature racing beginning at 1:30pm. The 50-lap SK Modified® feature will be the first feature event on the track, which will be followed by the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature event. The 150-lap Whelen Modified Tour event will be next on the track with a scheduled feature start time of 2:30pm, and the 40-lap Late Model feature event will close out the day's racing activities.
The rescheduled CARQUEST Fall Final will determine four championships on the track. When the green flag flies for the 150-lap Whelen Modified Tour event, Mike Stefanik will officially become the 2006 Whelen Modified Tour champion, which will be his seventh WMT title and ninth overall NASCAR championship, which will tie him with the late Richie Evans for the most career NASCAR championships.
Stafford's SK Modified®, Late Model, and SK Light divisions will also crown champions in their feature action. In the SK Modified® division, Frank Ruocco currently holds an 18-point lead over Willie Hardie. Ruocco must finish no more than 8 positions behind Hardie to win the championship, while Hardie must finish at least 9 positions ahead of Ruocco to become champion.
The other two remaining point races feature ties at the front of the championship standings. The Late Model championship race is a two-man race with Woody Pitkat and Jim Peterson tied for the championship lead, and the SK Light championship race features a 4-way tie at the front of the standings between Brit Andersen, Chris Matthews, Richie Pallai, Jr., and Shelly Perry. In both the Late Model and SK Light divisions, whichever championship contender gets to the checkered flag first will become track champion.
Stafford Motor Speedway still has tickets available for the CARQUEST Fall Final. Tickets are available at the admission gates the day of the show. Tickets are $35.00 for adult general admission, children ages 6-14 are $5.00, and children ages 5 & under are admitted free. Reserved seat tickets are available for $38.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor Speedway offers plenty of free parking with overnight parking available.
