Riverhead Raceway & Miller Lite Continue
Partnership
For the 22nd consecutive year Miller Lite
will return to Riverhead Raceway as a major sponsor of the 2006 NASCAR Dodge
Weekly Series at Barbara and Jim Cromarty’s quarter mile oval. The 2006
campaign will get underway Saturday May 6th with six divisions ushering in
the new race season at 6:00 pm.
“Riverhead Raceway continues to be one of our most successful marketing
partnerships” Al Frazer, director of marketing for Boening Brothers noted.
Boening Brothers is the Long Island distributor of Miller Lite and are based
in Lindenhurst. “Even though we’ve been involved for 22 years now we
continue to be very excited about our relationship with the Cromarty family
and all those who race at Riverhead Raceway” Frazer concluded.
Both the NASCAR Modifieds and Figure Eights will be sponsored weekly by
Miller Lite, who will also serve as a seasonal sponsor for the 2006
Demolition Derby events. Miller Lite will add purse money for all races run
for those three divisions as well as host two Saturday nights at the races,
Saturday, August 19th and Saturday, September 16th.
The crown jewel in the annual Miller Lite marketing package will remain
the Miller Lite 200 on Saturday evening August 5th, the only visit of the
season for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Donny Lia of Jericho is the
defending race winner and will be the man to beat in the Miller Lite 200.
Race fans can continue to enjoy Miller Lite as well Miller Genuine Draft
at the refreshment stands in 2006.
All the race teams are working feverishly to get ready for the 2006
NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series opener May 6th with all six classes in action.
The NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Chargers, Blunderbusts and
Super Pro Trucks will raise the curtain on the campaign at 6:00 pm. The very
next afternoon May 7th a full slate of Enduro racing will be presented at
12:30 pm.
