LIKA Expo Rescheduled to March 12
The Annual LIKA Karting
& Small Motorcycle Expo has been rescheduled to Sunday March 12 at the
Hilton Long Island in Melville. The original date was “snowed out” due
to the blizzard a few weeks ago. This is an excellent time to learn
about karting and have all your questions answered by experts in the
field.
The event will be held
from 12pm to 3pm. Admission is free. The event will demonstrate new
karting and small motorcycle equipment, including safety equipment, for
karters from 5 to 75 years old. Suppliers will be on hand to answer any
of your questions. Sign up for classroom training for new kart drivers
of all ages. Classes will be forming for LIKA spring training session.
The annual LIKA rules meeting will follow at 4pm for LIKA members.
The event will be held
at the Hilton Long Island. The Hilton Long Island is conveniently
located at 598 Broadhollow Road (Route 110) in Melville. For more

chance to get in on the fun. This is an excellent chance to learn about
the sport of karting, which has been the birthplace of many racing

LIKA will be holding its new driver training classes at the Vanderbilt
Museum in Centerport, NY on Sunday March 19, The training classes will
be from 9 AM to 12 PM The new kart driver training class is free of
charge however you must pre-register at the March 12 LIKA Kart show or
on line at www.likaonline.com. The Classes will be held at the
planetarium building. The Vanderbilt Museum displays memorabilia from
the first motor race series in The United States in the early 1900’s.
The Vanderbilt Cup race drew participants from all over the world. The
races took place in central Nassau County.
