The Charger division that is part of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Riverhead Raceway received some good news recently when it was disclosed that Cornwell Tools would serve as a seasonal sponsor in 2006. The Chargers will be one of six divisions that will open up the new race season at Barbara and Jim Cromarty’s quarter mile oval on Saturday evening May 6th.

    Rich Lenahan a Long Island based Cornwell Tools dealer announced late in 2005 that he’d sponsor the Brian Doyle Charger effort for 2006 and later got together with Bob Finan of Riverhead to put him together with Cornwell corporate for the seasonal package. Since 1919 Cornwell Tools has been providing high quality tools to mechanics. Best of all they believe in America as American workers make all tools with American steel in American factories!

    Cornwell Tools will add purse money to all Charger events contested and host their night at the races on Saturday June 10th with a display in turn three further introducing their dealer opportunities to aspiring individuals.

    Aside from the Charger class the opening night program will find the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure Eights, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks on the card. Heat races will start at 4:30 pm and main events go green at 6:00 pm.
