RAIN ROLLS IN ON
RIVERHEAD RACEWAY SATURDAY
 

Riverhead, NY --- Just as the first round of pre-race practice for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series was being completed Saturday afternoon at Riverhead Raceway rain started to fall and never let up forcing Barbara and Jim Cromarty to postpone the night’s race program.
    The 50-lap, double point NASCAR Modified feature set for the evening will now take place this Saturday June 10th joining the 50-lap Late Model and 25-lap Figure Eight events on the card with the Chargers and Super Pro Trucks rounding out the stock car portion of the show. The Late Model and Figure Eight races are also double point contests with it being Cornwell Tools night for the Chargers.
    Both the NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models will use time trial qualifying this Saturday which will start at 4:00 pm and after those two classes take time the Chargers will be the only class needing heat races which will follow the time trials. With three extra distance main events on the card and a Train Race the features will start at 5:00 pm.
    The 30-lap main events for both the Chargers and Blunderbusts set for this past Saturday will now move to Saturday June 17th.
