Fuel Ghouls Can't Deter Cowboys
As the Turn 1 Cowboys,
John Thompson and Jimmy Walsh, were preparing their steeds for this
Saturday night Enduro, the Pontiac Grand Am to be driven by John
Thompson developed fuel problems which could not be fixed in time. The
turn of events left the Turn 1 Cowboys and their PR guy, Bob of
Marrzmotorsports scrambling for a car with only a few days to prepare.
The threesome called
anyone and everyone they knew. Finally, after over 50 phone calls, Bob
contacted Modified driver and owner of Beaver’s Towing, Howie Brode.
While Brode had nothing available, he informed Bob to call a good friend
of his, Keith Hillman of Bi-County Auto Wreckers. Keith was called, and
Keith had a car ready to go. The new steed for John will be a Saturn,
courtesy of Bi-County Auto Wreckers. It’s nice to see that folks in
need can rely upon their extended family in the racing community.
A special thanks once
again goes out to Howie Brode of Beaver Towing and Keith Hillman of
Bi-County Auto Wreckers. The Turn 1 Cowboys are set to ride out to
round up the troops in the 4-cylinder Enduro this Saturday!
