NELMA’s Inaugural Race Gears Up
With the North East Late Model Association’s
Inaugural race just a few weeks away, the race is shaping up to be the
race of 2006. The iTRADEdirect Late Model Challenge on Saturday, October
21 at Mountain Speedway will feature 100 laps of Late Model action,
where the winner will take home a whopping $2,000 plus. The entry list
reads like a who’s who of Late Model racing in the region and they all
now have 2,000 reasons to try their best for the checkers.
The North East Late Model Association’s Inaugural entry list
boasts drivers from Western New York to Poconos of Pennsylvania to Long
Island New York to New England . Over 35 entries have been received and
more are expected with the purse announced and as the buzz continues.
On Saturday, October 21, the iTRADEdirect Late Model
Challenge will be joined by two support divisions, the Super Trucks and
the Street Stocks. With three divisions of action, fans and competitors
alike will be treated to a day of racing heaven.
And for competitors looking to get an early edge, on Friday
night, October 20, a Happy Hour practice will be held at Mountain
Speedway to prepare competitors who may be unfamiliar with the speedway.
The night is scheduled to start at 6PM and finish around 9PM.
