LONG ISLAND AUTOMOTIVE SWAP MEET SET FOR RIVERHEAD
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 12TH
Sunday November 12th will be the date for the
annual Long Island Automotive Swap Shop in the pit are of the historic
Riverhead Raceway and event organizer Bill Denniston has announced a new
twist for the tradition affair. Aside from being a virtual racecar flea
market, Denniston has announced that Motorcycles are more than welcome
to become part of the day long buying and selling.
Race teams looking to sell complete racecars or spare
parts like engines, rear-ends, transmissions, fuel cells, racing seats
or any part of their operation can come out to Riverhead on November
12th and for just $20 per-vendor space turn their unwanted inventory
into racing capital for the 2007 season. Of course the Long Island
Automotive Swap Shop is not just limited to racecars that race at
Riverhead, but any type machine or parts thereof in the Northeast are
welcome to display and sell their wares.
Those into racing collectibles or wearing apparel who want to
sell their merchandise at the swap shop are encouraged to do so and from
a marketing standpoint with Christmas and the Holiday season just a
month and a half away from the date of the swap shop it could be a great
idea.
As to the Motorcycles the September Long Island Motorcycle
Fair was very successful and many bike enthusiasts noted to Denniston
and his staff that they don’t have a venue quite like Riverhead to
enjoy. Hence the decision was made to include a Motorcycle area in the
Swap Shop for 2006 with vendor space also just $20 per spot.
On the track the Eastern Kart Racing Association Go-Karts
will be in action as they wind down their 2006 season, which ends later
in the month.
So start cleaning out that garage and turn your unwanted racecar or
motorcycle equipment into cold hard cash at the Long Island Automotive
Swap Shop Sunday November 12th at Riverhead Raceway. Vendors are just
$20 per space and it’s just $5 for those walking into to shop around
from the ages of 6 and up, under 5 is free. In the event of rain the
event, which starts at 9:00 am will be held the following Sunday
November 19th.
For additional information please call either the Riverhead
Raceway office at 631-842-RACE or Bill Denniston at Trailer Transport at
516-333-2016. Vendors need not make reservations in advance, as all
vending space will be sold the day of the swap shop.
THE END
