Contingencies Continue to Mount for Annual North-South Shootout
Lexington, NC (October 21, 2006): With the 4th Annual North-South Shootout
just around the corner, the contingency program continues to grow. C&C
Racing Promotions, with the help of a great family of sponsors, is proud to
present a lucrative contingency program to benefit all divisions. BSR
Products, Clean-Up Supply, DMC Auto Mart & Auto Exchange, Kraze Korlacki’s
Speed Equipment, RH2-Way Communications, Shadow’s Candle Company, and
Sherwood Racing Wheels will join PRO Shocks and the Joie of Seating in
presenting product sponsorships to the competitors of the North-South
Shootout.
Clean-Up Supply, supplier of automotive reconditioning and appearance
products serving the Winston-Salem (NC) area, will award $350 in product to
both the “Best Appearing” Southern and Northern Modifieds along with the
“Best Appearing” SK Modified during the 4th Annual North-South Shootout. In
addition, Clean-Up Supply will contribute an additional $500 in product to
the winner of the Modified 100 and $500 in product to the winner of the
SK-Type Modified 50. Last year, Wayne Anderson (Mod) of Yaphank, NY and
Earl Paulus of Kunkletown, PA (SK) received the honor for their immaculately
prepared racers.
A sponsor since the race’s inception, the DMC Auto Chain will once again
recognize both the pole winner and halfway leaders of both the Modified 100
and the SK-Type Modified 50 with DMC Auto Mart of King Pole Night. The
overall pole winner in the Modified division will receive $500 from DMC Auto
Mart of King, NC and the overall pole winner in the SK Modified division
will receive $250.
C&C Racing Promotions will pay additional pole award money, up to $1,500 in
the Modified division, to the various Modified Series being represented that
have not already secured the overall pole award. C&C Racing Promotions also
will pay additional pole award money in the SK Modified division. An
additional $100 will be awarded to the highest qualifier from each
track/series not already represented by the overall pole winner. Eligible
Track/Series will include the Stafford, Thompson, and Wall Township
Speedways, the Waterford Speedbowl and the SST Modified Series.

DMC Auto Exchange of Winston-Salem, NC will also present a Halfway Challenge
Leader Bonus. The leaders at halfway of both the Modified 100 and SK-Type
Modified 50 will receive a $500 and $250 Bonus respectively.
DMC Auto Exchange will once again host the Halfway Charity Challenge, a
fundraiser for the Red Cross. The program will also result in additional
money for two lucky drivers, from any division, selected in random drawings
at the halfway markers of both the Modified and SK-Type Modified main

A newcomer to the Shootout in 2006, BSR Products of Concord, NC will present
the Modified “Hard Charger Award”. The competitor in the Modified 100 who
advances the most number of positions at the conclusion of the event will
receive a $500 gift certificate from BSR Products. BSR Products offers a
large selection of brand name professional racing equipment for all stock
car racing applications.
For the second straight year, Sherwood Racing Wheel of Owego, NY will be a
part of the contingency program of the North-South Shootout TM. This year,
the Sherwood Family has increased their involvement by recognizing winners
in the Modified and SK-Type Modified divisions as well as the Vintage
Modified and Vintage Sportsman divisions. Any cars running the Sherwood
Racing Wheel decal will be eligible to win product gift certificates of
varying denominations. The gift certificates range from $100 for winners in
each division sponsored, $75 to the second place finishers in each, and $50
to both the third and last-place finishers in all four divisions.
Once again in 2006, the fine folks at Radio Head Two-Way Communications will
present the RH2 SK-Type Modified Bonus, a $500 bonus to the highest
finishing competitor who runs ONLY in the SK-Type Modified portion of the
North-South Shootout TM. RH2Way offers a one-stop shop for all racing
communication needs. They specialize in top-quality reconditioned Motorola
radios at discount prices. Last year, inaugural SK-type Modified winner

A very unique program has been added to the Shootout in 2006. Shadow’s
Candle Company of Riverside, NJ will present the “Glow Of Excellence
Award”. The 13th –place finishers in both the Modified 100 and SK-Type
Modified 50 will receive a unique gift basket valued at $75. Shadow’s
Candle Company sells only the finest Yankee Candle products. Other unique
items offered include wire candle products and racing DVD's.
The “Kraze FOUR the Shootout” Contingency Program presented by Kraze
Korlacki Speed Equipment will go to benefit the newly added Pro-Four
Modified/Four-Cylinder event participants. Kraze Korlacki Speed Equipment
of Seekonk, MA will present $100 in gift certificates to the race winner of
the Pro-Four Modified/Four-Cylinder event along with $50 gift certificates
to the Pro-Four Modified/Four-Cylinder Class for competitors in various
finishing positions. Also included are a number of specialty awards. Kraze
Korlacki Speed Equipment will present a total of $500 to the competitors. A

return to the 4th Annual North-South Shootout with their continued support
