Pedersen &
Family Finish Out 2006 on a High Note
The likeable Blunderbust driver, Artie Pedersen, Jr.,
finished out the 2006 season on a high note with a championship in the Long
Island Karting Association (LIKA) Senior Masters class of the Long Island
Championship Series. However, Artie wasn’t the only winner in the family,
his sons finished well too, Artie III (whom just turned 10) finished second
in points and five wins in the Junior Novice class, while Allan (7-years
old) finished first in points with 13 wins in the kids class. This was
their first season for both the youngsters.
In addition, to Artie’s racing duties in the
Blunderbusts, Artie has been elected Assistant Track Director for the Long
Island Karting Association in 2007. Meanwhile, expect Checkerwon
Motorsports’ Blunderbust team to announce their 2007 marketing partners in
February, when the racing season begins to heat up once again.
2007 should mark a championship-winning season once
again with the Pedersens, with Artie III and Allan moving up classes,
Artie’s youngest Lauren getting her first taste of racing, and of course the
#1 Sherwin-Williams Chevrolet of Artie Pedersen, Jr. competing weekly at
Riverhead Raceway in the Blunderbusts.
