Former Long Islander, Brian
Weber just returned from December ARCA testing session at Daytona. Brian
a former competitor from Long Island at Riverhead, BUSCH North series ,
and occasional competitor in the Busch Series from 1988-2003 finally
accomplished a life long goal of driving the big "D" , Brian recently
purchased a Chevrolet Monte Carlo Nextel Cup speedway car from Hermie
Sadler and a Engine built by Fischer Engineering, In the second day or
testing after only 20 laps or so Brian was 22 fast out of 47 teams at
179.562 mph a lap of 50.122 only .616 off the fastest car.
Brian's team lead by Nextel
cup crew chief Mike Stuer and friends and family are optimistic about
the up coming race in February, Brian's back focusing on his Nationwide
General contracting business (BWAconstruction.com) until February.
Brian only competes occasionally with his Late model stock car these
days. And is excited about starting the season off at Daytona.
