Lite Back for 23rd Riverhead Raceway Season
Riverhead Raceway officials announced today that
Miller Lite will return for the 23rd consecutive season as a seasonal
sponsor for the NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby events
in 2007. Miller Lite will also return as the title sponsor for the NASCAR
Whelen Modified Tour “Flash” event on August 4th.
Al Frazer, director of marketing for Boening Brothers of Lindenhurst the
Long Island area distributor of Miller Lite noted, “we are especially
excited about teaming up once again with the Cromarty family and the NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series for 2007”. It is the August 4th date that Frazer
indicated has the Miller Lite folks really pumped-up about 2007, “the new
“flash’ format is going to be fan friendly with two 60-lap qualifying races
and a 70-lap feature event. It’s really three exciting main events in one
night and all of us at Miller Lite are looking forward to August 4th and
being part of he new format for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour”.
Miller Lite in their capacity as a seasonal sponsor for the NASCAR
Modifieds, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby events in 2007 will post purse
money weekly for those classes. Additionally there are two Miller Lite
nights set for 2007 to compliment the August 4th WMT stop, as Saturday
August 18th and Saturday September 15th have been set aside as Miller Lite
night.
The 2007 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series is fast approaching at
Barbara and Jim Cromarty’s Riverhead Raceway with Saturday evening May 5th
being opening night. An action packed six for one card will usher in the new
56th season of racing featuring the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Figure
Eights, Chargers, Blunderbusts and Super Pro Trucks.
Prior to opening night Riverhead Raceway will once again host two free
to the public practice dates, Saturday April 21st and Saturday April 28th,
where all six divisions as well competitors from the track Enduro Series and
Drifting will shake down their equipment for the new season.
