Riverhead Standout Roger Oxee Makes Major Announcement

Riverhead Raceway’s all-time leading winner of Late Model events at the historic Long Island oval, Roger Oxee of Peconic made a major sponsorship announcement just days prior to the start of the 2007 season. Oxee, the 2005 Late Model champion will be gunning for his second career title starting Saturday evening May 5th.
“I am both very excited and pleased to announce that Suffolk Water Connection has signed on as our major marketing partner for the 2007 season at Riverhead Raceway” Oxee disclosed. The driver many call “RJ” also noted that the Suffolk Water Connection could not have come at a better time, “going into the season we had enough of a budget to run the two pre-season practice sessions and then opening night, but after that things were looking bleak” Oxee admitted. That is until Suffolk Water Connection of Medford, L.I. came along.
Suffolk Water Connection offers options for installing underground utilities including water lines, conduit and telecommunications using methods like state of the art trenchless technology and open dig trenching.
In fact Roger went on to say, “This is the biggest sponsorship that my race team has had since 1988”. That may not be good news for Oxee’s foes in the tough Late Model class including defending champion Greg Kleila among others.
Oxee also indicated that the Helman Group would be returning as a major backer of his always-immaculate Pontiac. Associate sponsors Southold IGA, Eastern Tire, Falkowski Fuel, North Fork Sanitation, North Fork Welding, Racing Creations and Peconic Bay Auto Body all are back in 2007. Returning product sponsors A-1 Racing Fuels and Oval Speed Unlimited will return to the Oxee camp, which will continue to utilize McBetts Racing Engines Power.
Roger Oxee and the Suffolk Water Connection Late Model team will start their pursuit of the 2007 Saturday evening May 5th at Riverhead Raceway on opening night for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at 5:30 pm
