Long Islanders To Trek To New Hampshire for Oktoberfest

Now that the last race of the Riverhead season is officially in the books, teams are looking for events elsewhere to get their racing fix.  LongIslandJam.com has been informed that several Long Island teams are planning to take a trip to Lee Speedway in New Hampshire for the Oktoberfest the weekend of October 20.  Heats are scheduled to be run that Saturday, with the features running on Sunday.  Among those who have confirmed to us their intentions to run in the Street Stock race that weekend are Chris Turbush, driver of the #81 Spano Floors Charger and Dave Koenig, who wheels the #97 Nelson's Auto Salvage Super Pro Truck.  Turbush expects to have some pit assistance and cheering from his father, 2007 Late Model champion Dan Turbush.  It has also been rumored that Daryn Miller, driver of the #30 Tarr Home Improvements + Charger, may make the trip as well; however, this has not been confirmed.
