Riverhead regulars who were at the Bud Shootout yesterday may
have seen a familiar face on the crew of the #8 Sprint Cup car
driven by Mark Martin. The newest crew member on the team is
none other than former Riverhead starter, Frank Bonsignore.
Frank and his wife Judy, along with their children, moved to
North Carolina in 2006. According to Judy, Frank has already
fulfilled two of his lifelong dreams: being a CNC machinist for
DEI and being a crew member for a DEI Cup team.
The Bud Shootout was Bonsignore's first race as part of the
team. Due to scheduling conflicts, he will miss the dual 150s
and the Daytona 500, but will be in action again during the
season.
